Sharing

Your profile, share links, who sees what, going quiet for a while, and why strangers see Monday's figures.

Your profile

Your profile shows you as a collector, section by section, each with its own audience from Only you to Anyone. Other people's names never appear on it.

The header of your profile shows your @username, avatar and bio, and your name as the Your name row allows. Each section under it has its own audience.

What a profile shows and never shows

Your profile is who you are as a collector: your Top 10s, what you are into right now, what you play most, a few items from your shelves, stories, a few stats, your wishlist and your For trade list. Each section has its own audience: Only you, Friends, Followers or Anyone. Most start at Friends, and A few stats starts at Only you. On your own page, each item under Currently into and Most time spent opens your copy of it; a visitor never gets that way in.

Other people's names never appear on it, and neither do feelings, session notes or the dates of single sessions.

An item on your profile shows your rating beside it while Show my ratings is on in Settings > Who sees what, to whoever that section already reaches. Off, your ratings are yours alone.

An item on your profile carries your shared note on it too, to whoever that section already reaches: printed under the title in a Top 10, and read by opening the item everywhere else. None is shown while Show my shared notes is off in Settings > Who sees what, and a private note never is.

What a visitor can do on it

A closed profile, and what a stranger always sees

Showcases

A showcase is a few photos of your collection as a whole (a bookcase, a display case, a painted army), one showcase per shelf. It sits on your profile.

Starting one, its audience and likes

Start one from your own profile with Start a showcase. Choose its audience before Add a photo: Only you keeps the first photo private from the moment it is saved. Each showcase keeps its own audience, and who can comment is never wider than who can see it.

Anyone who can see a showcase can like its photos; there is no dislike. A showcase holds up to 3 photos, 30 with Supporter.

Who sees what

Stopping a share link, and turning it back on

Show my ratings

Show my ratings is one switch for every rating you have given, and it starts on. On, a rating goes where its item goes: whoever can already see an item on your profile or on a page you share sees what you gave it. Off, only you see your ratings.

Show my shared notes

Show my shared notes is one switch for every shared note on an item, and it starts on. On, a shared note goes where its item goes. Off, nobody but you reads any of them. Private notes do not depend on it, only you ever see those, on or off.

Going quiet

Pick A week, Two weeks or A month.

Press Come back now to end it sooner.

Sections open to Anyone or Followers show to friends only, share and invite links rest, and search finds you only for friends. Your friends and your live tables carry on.

It ends by itself after a week, two weeks or a month, and everything comes back exactly as it was.

Figures as of Monday

Someone who is not your friend sees your figures as they stood on Monday: hours, sessions, what you played most. Your friends see them live.

Why Monday

The reason is what live numbers give away. A stranger who checks your profile on Tuesday night and again on Wednesday morning learns that you were home playing in between. Weekly figures say the same about your year and nothing about your evenings. "Currently into" is shown in no order for the same reason.

A rating keeps to Monday too, someone who is not your friend sees the ratings you gave before Monday, and one you gave or changed since is left out until the next Monday.

A shared note on an item keeps to Monday too: written or reworded since Monday, it reaches someone who is not your friend the next Monday.

Monday is your own Monday, in your time zone. A brand new account shows "Figures appear from" and a date instead of zeros. To show someone everything as it happens, be friends:

see Friends.
